Jay Ashmore brings to Urban Fast Forward a background that combines real estate expertise with practical experience in the food and beverage industry.
As a licensed real estate agent, he works on transactions involving restaurants and retail, mixed-use, multi-family, and office properties.
His hospitality credentials were earned at Dutch's Pony Keg, the storied Hyde Park institution he and partners owned from 2007 to 2020. Drawing on youthful experience as a beer sales rep for Stone Brewing Company, he repositioned Dutch's from a neighborhood off-premises retailer into a regional craft beer and artisanal wine destination. Food service was added in 2012, with Dutch's ultimately earning a spot on Cincinnati Magazine's annual top-ten restaurant list.
As both agent and owner, Jay has been a leader in neighborhood and business associations, as well as engaging directly with communities on land development opportunities. His experience in acquisition and disposition also gives him grounded insight into the operational realities of small and family-owned businesses.
A fifth-generation Cincinnatian from a real estate family, he grew up in East Walnut Hills and has a personal stake in the health of neighborhoods and the businesses that anchor them.
