Owners of 'The Shining-' and Tarantino-themed bars to open 'Lost in Translation' kar
Gorilla Cinema Presents, the group that brought Cincinnati a bar themed after the hotel in Stanley Kubrick's "The Shining" and a speakeasy inspired by the works of director Quentin Tarantino, is opening a new establishment downtown.
Gorilla Cinema is opening Tokyo Kitty at 575 Race St., on the ground floor of the 84.51 building, this winter. Before getting into details of the nightclub and karaoke bar that draws inspiration from the 2003 Bill Murray-Scarlett Johansson film "Lost in Translation" (yes, there are robot servers) it helps to understand what Gorilla Cinema is all about.
The architect is Ron Novak, and Blake Bartley of Urban Fast Forward brokered the deal.
