In May 2021, Urban Fast Forward was awarded a contract to conduct a market study to locate a container-based incubator kitchen, food hall and event space in a location within the County but outside of the City of Cincinnati. 

 

The business will be built around a community kitchen to allow chefs and restaurant entrepreneurs to try new dining concepts, menu items and culinary presentations. The concept will be a destination and creative environment with local art, musicians, and restaurant start-ups.  It would support “prove the market” before committing to restaurant build-outs for leases. 

 

The project was broken down into two phases. Phase I consisted of a review of existing plans and conditions and market and trend analysis. Our goal during this phase was to assess what makes an ideal site for the development and how the concept can best succeed in the market. Phase II consisted of a site search and analysis of the identified sites. Once 3-5 suitable sites were identified, the team analyzed the opportunities and challenges of each location and met with community leadership to discuss potential paths forward.
