College Hill Connects

 

CHCURC - In 2015 the College Hill Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation engaged Urban Fast Forward to develop a retail marketing strategy for their main business district along Hamilton Avenue.  The Hamilton Avenue business district in Cincinnati’s neighborhood of College Hill is filled with a diverse and eclectic range of businesses that serve the correspondingly diverse area. But the corridor has many challenges including length, deactivated storefronts and vacant land. It had amazing potential but no clear direction.

Strategy: 

The Urban Fast Forward team utilized a multi-prong effort, engaging various community groups over the course of a year in visioning sessions, exploring wayfinding solutions, and identifying innovative solutions for economic development along the corridor.  

Strategies developed for this plan strengthened College Hills business district, ensuring the neighborhood continues to develop into a desirable place to live in the twenty-first century.
